Posing Productions is a leading producer of rock climbing and adventure films founded by Alastair Lee who’s collaborations with animators, cameramen and musicians namely David Halsted, Jen Randall, David Reeves, James Stirzaker, Pendle Coven, Chris Brooke, Nik Coombs and JacktoPhono Records, has produced a string of award winning rock climbing films like SET IN STONEPSYCHE and the ground breaking recent productions; THE ASGARD PROJECTPSYCHE IIMOONFLOWER and now here is our latest AUTANA. This release sees Tom Eno provide the soundtrack. After some time away working on his Mountain Folk project, Tom is now working on his 3rd album. Jungle camp sees him on form and has been described by Steve Lamacq as genreless!
Coming into 2012 Filmaker Alastair Lee was fresh from the success of Moonflower, The Asgard Project and the Live for Adventure Campaign for Berghaus. These three very different recent projects have elevated the success of Posing Productions. One of the projects had demanded jumping out of a moving aeroplane over Baffin Island, avoiding Polar Bears and battling freezing temperatures.
The next adventure begins in Venezuela in the depths of the Amazonian Jungle. Alongside British Adventurer Leo Houlding the team attempt the first ascent of the East Face of Cuerro Autana. It is one of the Amazon’s most remote and sacred mountains. The team were given a blessing from a local Shaman in a Yopo ceremony and then began a four day trek through the Amazon to reach base camp. Posing Productions and Jack to Phono hope to continue their alliance for many years to come.

“I like records that are difficult to explain”

Ring Ring  Rouge are up next with a new single Dr Feelgood…

Dr Feelgood, the second single to be released ahead of the Lancashire band’s debut album planned for this summer, shows off the band’s diverse talents exchanging the seaside charm and shimmering guitars of previous single Today for a swaggering back beat, apocalyptic sirens and acutely sinister guitars.

The track has been Ring Ring Rouge’s exhilarating set closer at live performances for some time and that sense of energy has been captured perfectly here in what is in essence two and half minutes of elating small town indie disco rave. The Track was mixed by Mark Freegard at Kyoti in Glasgow and Recorded in Berlin at Transmission Studios with Andy Jones. The band are due on a mini tour in March and have dates in Liverpool and Manchester confirmed. The band have been busy recoridng their debut album. They have received praise from NME, and BBC Introducing in recent months.
