Phantoms EP- IATM

IATM are a Liverpool based 5 piece fronted by 22 year old mystical songstress Adele Emmas. Tales of nostalgia and other worldly beings are the order of the day. The lyrics touch upon matter as varied as celestial bodies, storms, the moon and haunting trips down memory lane. Set to a backdrop of melodious guitars, sweeping violins and subtle percussion, delicately woven together to create the enchanted, magical space they inhabit.

They have been busy honing their craft on their native Liverpool scene over the past 9 months. The gestation period is over and the band are ready to deliver their offerings to the wider world. Dates throughout the UK are planned. Here is what “they” are saying about IATM.

“The bustling audience fell silent and I’m sure I wasn’t the only one who’s hairs were standing up on the back of their necks. It’s different yet brilliant. In particular, check out Phantoms, the track will leave you emotionally tongue tied” (Elite Magazine)

“This is one of the finest half-dozen bands I’ve discovered this year.”(Dandelion Radio)

“Fronted by Marina (of the Diamonds) look-alike Adele Emmas, the band avoided the kooky eighties pop of the lead singer’s doppelganger, instead sounding far nearer to PJ Harvey and Portishead. Adele is Possessed of a stunning Voice.” Purple Revolver

” I absolutely love this band! What a great track! ” – Tom Robinson BBC 6 Music
” IATM are a 5 piece ambient folk act that not only create music, they create soundscapes in which, with a blink of an eye, you can find yourself lost in” – Bido Lito Magazine

” IATM remind us of why we fell in love with fairy tales and daydreams so invest some of your time and it will take you back to an era where even seeing the slightest of shadows will arouse your minds eye ” – Bido Lito Magazine

” An eerie folktronic Portishead wandering through a laughing Leonard Cohen nightmare as depicted by Rene Margritte ” Andy Von Pips Musical Express

” Simplicity and repetition are the hallmarks of Liverpool’s ‘IATM’. Simple rhythms, Leonard cohen-esque nostalgic melancholy and the voice of 23 year old Adele Emmas brings a haunting depth ” – Blue Walrus.
” The quintets sepulchral atmospherics draw inspiration from This Mortal Coil, with Adele’s blazing voice recalls the swooping vocals of Cocteau Twins, chanteuse Elizibeth Frazer ” – Bearded Magazine.
” With more than a hint of Daphne du Maurier, Liverpool band IATM offer an ethereal and emotional blend of acoustic adventures. It’s a flight of fancy were happy to be swept along with – ” Seven Streets.
